Whether you order from my professional printing services or print yourself (See this blog post comparing consumer to professional prints: http://lisasandlerphotography.com/blog/files/Consumer-vs-Professional-Prints.html), you need to understand how ratios and cropping work. This may be changed in some cameras, but for all general purpose most professional digital photographers stick to the default of a 2:3 ratio when shooting. For this reason, you may see extra background on an original image, or it may not be centered. Some photos are specifically composed for photo albums and leave extra background on one side of my subjects. Square crops are good for the 12x12 photo albums that I offer, as well as websites that ask you to drop in a square head shot.
